Kat Sapera will join Grimm Gallery’s New York outpost as co-director on May 1. She comes to the enterprise, which also has a gallery in Amsterdam, from Timothy Taylor gallery in London, where she served as director.
She previously worked as associate director, assistant curator, and artist liaison and exhibitions coordinator at Timothy Taylor. In her new role, Sapera will work closely with Margot Samel, who is also a director of Grimm, to oversee primary and secondary market ventures internationally.
Sapera said in a statement, “I have been following the program at Grimm for a number of years, and have always admired the gallery’s dedication to their artists and the calibre of projects and exhibitions. I am very excited by the opportunity to join the team, and further develop the gallery’s presence in New York.”
