Con el tiempo ambas se dedicaron a ofrecer grandes motos de viaje, aunque con la reestructuraci\u00f3n de Indian en 2011 tuvieron un poco m\u00e1s de visi\u00f3n que las de Milwaukee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-count=\"272\" data-wrap=\"51\">Durante 2018, Indian se dio a la tarea de cosechar triunfos en el campeonato Flat Track con una moto equipada con un motor de 750 cc, misma que sirvi\u00f3 como base para presentar un prototipo de calle. Dicha moto \u201crod\u00f3\u201d por el mundo a manera de medir la reacci\u00f3n del p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-count=\"191\" data-wrap=\"37\">La respuesta fue tan buena que menos de un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s se lanz\u00f3 un modelo de serie, aunque en este caso con un motor de 1,200 cc de nueva manufactura. El resultado ha sido una grata sorpresa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-count=\"332\" data-wrap=\"57\">Est\u00e9ticamente parece una Flat Track, pero obviamente un motor de ese tama\u00f1o y el peso (231 kg) la alejan de esa especialidad. Por lo que podr\u00eda decirse que es una moto del segmento Streetfighter por las dimensiones, potencia y poco carenado, aunque en la realidad podr\u00eda ser una extra\u00f1a mezcla entre una Doble Prop\u00f3sito y una Naked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-count=\"508\" data-wrap=\"89\">Las formas las sit\u00faan en el segmento de una muscle bike con detalles de gran tama\u00f1o, como lo son el conjunto del asiento y tanque de combustible anchos, los escapes, suspensiones y neum\u00e1ticos espec\u00edficos para el modelo. El tablero de instrumentos var\u00eda en las dos versiones existentes, la de entrada con un reloj an\u00e1logo convencional y, a partir del modelo S, las cosas cambian a una pantalla t\u00e1ctil de 4.3 pulgadas. Indian se esmera en el detalle de cada modelo que fabrican, y este caso no es la excepci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image__block \">\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p><span class=\"element__footer\">El tanque de combustible y la suspensi\u00f3n trasera oscilante se inspiraron directamente en la FTR750 de competici\u00f3n.<\/span><span class=\"element__credit\">Jos\u00e9 Luis Ruiz<\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-count=\"409\" data-wrap=\"77\">En cuanto al desempe\u00f1o, es importante se\u00f1alar que esta FTR 1200 S no tienen el mismo motor que la gama Scout, es hecho a la medida, y eso se siente. La respuesta entre ambos modelos es muy distinta. El motor V-Twin desarrolla 123 hp y un par motor de 120 Nm, cifras asociadas a una caja manual de seis velocidades y la transmisi\u00f3n de potencia a la llanta posterior es por medio de la siempre confiable cadena.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-count=\"391\" data-wrap=\"69\">La respuesta es como en un muscle car, es decir, le sobra potencia para seguir empujando incluso en cuarta velocidad, mientras te acompa\u00f1a al acelerar un sonido ronco y poderoso. La FTR no s\u00f3lo es una cara bonita, ya que esta potencia y peso no restan dinamismo, pues se mueve como una Doble Prop\u00f3sito y frena de manera contundente. Sin dudas una mezcla que te har\u00e1 sonre\u00edr mientras manejas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-count=\"341\" data-wrap=\"63\">En el otro lado de la balanza, la FTR 1200 S cuenta con dos pecados, el primero es que a baja velocidad el inmenso motor de dos cilindros genera una gran cantidad de calor y, por otra parte, el tanque de combustible de apenas 13 litros se muestra insuficiente para lo sediento del motor. Lo que te har\u00e1 detenerte muy seguido por combustible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-count=\"353\" data-wrap=\"60\">En el presente existen dos modelos, la base FTR 1200 con un precio de 309,900 pesos y la versi\u00f3n S de 329,900, aunque Indian ha desarrollado alrededor de 40 accesorios divididos en tres familias: Rally, Sport y Tour, que pueden cambiar mucho el modelo visualmente, o s\u00f3lo optar por partes espec\u00edficas.
