Ma tramite posizioni prevalentemente corte \u2013 quelle che rendono quando i titoli scendono.<\/p>\n<p>Le posizioni lunghe, al contrario, restano concentrate intorno a pochi titoli. Una tendenza confermata anche da un\u2019analoga indagine condotta da <strong>Credit Suisse<\/strong>, secondo la quale i fondi \u201channo scelto un approccio pi\u00f9 selettivo riducendo l\u2019esposizione a un gruppo di posizioni lunghe \u2018core\u2019\u201d. Mentre le vendite sui mercati si sono intensificate all\u2019inizio della settimana, gli hedge fund anzich\u00e9 acquistare il calo hanno raddoppiato le proprie scommesse ribassiste. Il fatto che la net leverage sia particolarmente negativa indica il pessimismo nei confronti dell\u2019andamento del mercato azionario nel breve termine.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ottimismo, del resto, non \u00e8 dei pi\u00f9 forti secondo l\u2019ultimo survey degli economisti condotto da Bloomberg fra il 2 e il 7 agosto: le probabilit\u00e0 di una recessione americana nei prossimi 12 mesi sono aumentate dal 31 al 35%. In calo anche le previsioni sulla crescita delle maggiori economie per il 2019: dal 2,5% della rilevazione del mese scorso all\u2019attuale stima al 2,3%.
