Bill Gates confiesa, en una entrevista, el mayor error que ha cometido en su gesti\u00f3n empresarial y que ha relegado a Microsoft a un segundo (o tercer) plano en el mercado mobile. <\/p>\n

Ni siquiera Bill Gates.<\/strong> Uno de los mayores visionarios de la industria tecnol\u00f3gica ha confesado, en una entrevista al medio Village Global<\/em>, uno de sus mayores errores como empresario: dejar pasar la oportunidad de convertir Microsoft en el Android actual.<\/p>\n

Y es que, la compa\u00f1\u00eda ten\u00eda hace a\u00f1os todas las papeletas para ser el principal competidor de Apple, una baza que Gates no supo jugar y que a d\u00eda de hoy le sigue pesando.<\/p>\n

\u201cEl error m\u00e1s grande que he cometido es la mala gesti\u00f3n que hice y que ha provocado que Microsoft no sea lo que es ahora Android\u201d<\/strong>, es decir, la principal alternativa a Apple.<\/p>\n

Cuando en el a\u00f1o 2005, Google compr\u00f3 Android por 50 millones de d\u00f3lares<\/strong>, Microsoft todav\u00eda ten\u00eda la posici\u00f3n aventajada para seguir siendo el l\u00edder del mercado.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, su foco en Windows Mobile,<\/strong> proyecto al que le dedic\u00f3 esfuerzos en vano y que acabar\u00eda por ser defenestrado en 2008, le llev\u00f3 a perder el ritmo en un mercado con demasiados competidores que le adelantaron por la derecha.<\/p>\n

“Si hubi\u00e9ramos acertado en eso, ser\u00edamos la compa\u00f1\u00eda l\u00edder\u201d,<\/strong> se lamenta Gates en su intervenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Junto a ello, la excesiva confianza en su liderazgo, dudando incluso de la funcionalidad de los productos de Apple,<\/strong> contribuyeron a abrir el camino al que hoy es un rival imbatible: Google.<\/p>\n

A pesar de este gran rev\u00e9s, el ejecutivo sigue siendo uno de los principales players del mercado tecnol\u00f3gico en el que ahora busca la gloria perdida apostando por los servicios en la nube.<\/p>\n
