El banco estadounidense Goldman Sachs contabiliz\u00f3 un beneficio neto atribuido de 2.182 millones de d\u00f3lares (1.929 millones de euros) en el primer trimestre de 2019, lo que equivale a un descenso del 20% en comparaci\u00f3n con el mismo periodo del ejercicio anterior, seg\u00fan ha informado la entidad.<\/p>\n
El descenso en el resultado neto se correspondi\u00f3 con una ca\u00edda en la facturaci\u00f3n del 13%, hasta situarse en 8.807 millones de d\u00f3lares (7.792 millones de euros). Los ingresos netos por intereses aumentaron un 33%, hasta 1.218 millones de d\u00f3lares (1.077 millones de euros) mientras que los obtenidos por comisiones, tasas y gesti\u00f3n de inversiones descendieron un 17%, hasta 7.589 millones de d\u00f3lares (6.714 millones de euros).<\/p>\n
Por segmentos de negocio, la divisi\u00f3n de clientes institucionales redujo su facturaci\u00f3n un 18%, hasta 3.605 millones de d\u00f3lares (3.189 millones de euros), mientras que la de inversi\u00f3n y pr\u00e9stamo cay\u00f3 un 14%, hasta 1.837 millones de d\u00f3lares (1.625 millones de euros).<\/p>\n
De su lado, el \u00e1rea de banca de inversi\u00f3n creci\u00f3 un 1%, hasta 1.810 millones de d\u00f3lares (1.601 millones de euros), y la de gesti\u00f3n de inversiones se contrajo un 12%, hasta 1.555 millones de d\u00f3lares (1.375 millones de euros).<\/p>\n
El banco de Wall Street ha indicado que durante el primer trimestre del a\u00f1o la volatilidad del mercado fue “menor” que en el cuarto trimestre de 2018, pese a lo cual la actividad de los clientes se mantuvo baja. Asimismo, la compa\u00f1\u00eda tambi\u00e9n ha contabilizado una ca\u00edda en la facturaci\u00f3n por las “menores ganancias netas” en las inversiones en compa\u00f1\u00edas que todav\u00eda no han salido a Bolsa.<\/p>\n
Entre enero y marzo, los gastos operativos cayeron un 11%, hasta situarse en 5.864 millones de d\u00f3lares (5.188 millones de euros). De esa cifra, la mayor parte correspondi\u00f3 al coste de los salarios y los incentivos extrasalariales, que cayeron un 20%, hasta 3.259 millones de d\u00f3lares (2.883 millones de euros).<\/p>\n
A cierre del primer trimestre del a\u00f1o, el banco contaba con 1,59 billones de d\u00f3lares (1,41 billones de euros) en activos bajo gesti\u00f3n, un 6,7% m\u00e1s que a 31 de marzo de 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
