(EUROPA PRESS) &#8211;<br \/>\n   La sider\u00fargica catalana Celsa ha solicitado m\u00e1s de 350 millones de euros al fondo de rescate articulado por el Gobierno y gestionado por la Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI) para empresas estrat\u00e9gicas con el fin de sobreponerse al impacto que la pandemia del Covid-19 ha ocasionado en sus negocios, informaron a Europa Press en fuentes del sector.<br \/>\n   La tramitaci\u00f3n de esta solicitud de acogida al fondo puede prolongarse entre un mes y medio y dos, debido a la complejidad que entra\u00f1a la operaci\u00f3n, al tratarse grupo Celsa de una multinacional de gran dimensi\u00f3n.<br \/>\n   Adem\u00e1s, seg\u00fan fuentes conocedoras del proceso, habr\u00e1 que definir cuestiones como la estructura del pr\u00e9stamo solicitado y negociar el plan de viabilidad de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, requisito imprescindible para tramitar la ayuda.<br \/>\n   A mediados de septiembre, Grupo Celsa revel\u00f3 que analizaba &#8220;detenidamente&#8221; las condiciones dadas a conocer por el Consejo Gestor del Fondo de apoyo a la solvencia de empresas estrat\u00e9gicas y estudiaba si proced\u00eda acogerse a la ayuda p\u00fablica temporal que ofrece el Gobierno a las compa\u00f1\u00edas que, como consecuencia de la pandemia, necesiten financiaci\u00f3n adicional de forma transitoria.<br \/>\n   La compa\u00f1\u00eda precis\u00f3 en ese momento que se hab\u00eda inscrito en el &#8216;anexo cero&#8217; del formulario que incorpora el mecanismo, correspondiente a la fase previa de informaci\u00f3n que faculta a los solicitantes a estudiar si deciden seguir adelante y solicitan acogerse a la ayuda gestionada por SEPI. Ahora, la empresa ha decidido ya dar un paso adelante y solicitar acogerse al fondo por una cuant\u00eda superior a los 350 millones de euros.<br \/>\n   De esta forma, Celsa, una de las multinacionales europeas l\u00edderes en productos largos de acero, se sumar\u00eda a Air Europa y a Duro Felguera en acudir al mecanismo. La aerol\u00ednea del grupo Globalia ha sido la primera en obtener la ayuda, por importe de 475 millones de euros, mientras que la ingenier\u00eda asturiana, que ha pedido 100 millones, todav\u00eda sigue inmersa en la negociaci\u00f3n.<br \/>\nUNA MULTINACIONAL CON 10.000 EMPLEOS<br \/>\n   En cifras, Celsa da empleo a casi 10.000 empleados de forma directa (33.233 directos e indirectos), tiene 120 centros de trabajo distribuidos por todo el mundo; factura unos 4.253 millones de euros anuales (con datos del ejercicio 2018), produce 7 millones de toneladas al a\u00f1o y recicla 8 millones de toneladas. Las inversiones realizadas por la compa\u00f1\u00eda en los \u00faltimos 15 a\u00f1os suman 2.682 millones de euros.<br \/>\n   El grupo Celsa y las compa\u00f1\u00edas que operan bajo su marca (Celsa Barcelona, Global Steel Wire, Celsa Nordic, Celsa Huta Ostrowiec, Celsa Steel UK y Celsa France) representan el mayor productor de productos largos en Espa\u00f1a y uno de los principales productores europeos.<br \/>\n   Adem\u00e1s de en Espa\u00f1a, Celsa Group, que en 2020 ha cumplido 53 a\u00f1os de existencia, tiene presencia industrial en Dinamarca, Finlandia, Francia, Noruega, Polonia, Suecia y Reino Unido, tras abordar en 2003 un exitoso proceso de internacionalizaci\u00f3n.<br \/>\n   El fondo de rescate de empresas estrat\u00e9gicas cuya viabilidad se ha visto afectada por la pandemia est\u00e1 dotado con 10.000 millones de euros.
